Derbyshire Allergy Network is a supportive space for anyone living with, caring for someone with, or wanting to learn more about allergies.

Founded by allergy mum Kirsty, the Network was created after she identified a gap in local support, understanding, and practical resources for people affected by allergies.

Living with, or caring for a child with, allergies can be overwhelming — from managing daily routines to navigating healthcare and social situations — and no one should have to face it alone.

Our aim is to bring people together, providing a space to share experiences, ask questions, and access trusted information.

Whether you’re suspecting allergies, newly diagnosed, supporting a loved one, looking for ways to raise allergy awareness in your community, or simply looking to connect with others, you’re very welcome here.

Our Mission

At Derbyshire Allergy Network, our mission is to make Derbyshire a safer, more inclusive, and better-informed place for everyone living with allergies.

We believe that connection, understanding, and education can transform how people experience life with allergies — at home, in schools, in workplaces, and in the community.

What We Do

Support & Community

We offer a welcoming and supportive space where individuals and families can connect, share experiences and build understanding.
Our support includes:

  • Local meetups and informal gatherings
  • A friendly WhatsApp community for day-to-day connection and advice
  • Peer support for parents, carers, and adults living with allergies

It’s a space built on support, empathy, encouragement, and shared knowledge.

Awareness & Inclusion

Beyond support, we’re committed to driving wider change.

Through our Allergy-Safe Spaces workshops, we help schools, workplaces, businesses, and community venues understand how to create safer, more inclusive environments for people with allergies.

Our approach focuses on awareness, by deepening understanding of allergies and what living with allergies really means; action, by turning knowledge into clear, practical safety steps to reduce risk and respond confidently; and inclusion, by creating environments where everyone feels welcome, supported, and able to take part with confidence.

Together, these efforts aim to reduce anxiety, increase safety, and build a more compassionate and understanding community.

Our Vision

A future where no one in Derbyshire feels isolated, unsupported or excluded because of allergies — and where understanding and inclusion are part of everyday life.
